माँ साथ हो तो साया-ए-कुदरत भी साथ है,
माँ के बगेर लगे दिन भी रात है
मै दूर जाऊं तो उसका सर पे हाथ है,
मेरे लिए तो मेरी माँ ही काएनात है,
दामन में माँ के सिर्फ वफाओं के फूल हैं,
हम सारे अपनी माँ के क़दमों की धुल है
पिता धर्मः पिता स्वर्गः पिता हि परमं तपः।
पितरि प्रीतिमापन्ने प्रीयन्ते सर्वदेवताः॥
पितरौ यस्य तृप्यन्ति सेवया च गुणेन च।
तस्य भागीरथीस्नानमहन्यहनि वर्तते॥
सर्वतीर्थमयी माता सर्वदेवमयः पिता।
मातरं पितरं तस्मात् सर्वयत्नेन पूजयेत्॥
मातरं पितरंश्चैव यस्तु कुर्यात् प्रदक्षिणम्।
प्रदक्षिणीकृता तेन सप्तदीपा वसुन्धरा॥
My Father is my heaven, my father is my dharma, he is the ultimate penance of my life. If he is happy, all deities are pleased. Whose service and virtues keep father and mother satisfied, that son gets the blessings of bathing in the Ganges every day.
Mother is omniscient and father is the form of all deities. That is why parents should be worshiped in every way. The orbit of the parents revolves around the earth.
